HOW THE REPAIR PROCESS WORKS

In just 10 easy steps, your damaged vehicle will be transformed to look as good as new. Throughout the process, the Racer's team will guide you and keep you informed as they lovingly restore your car. You can have your vehicle towed straight to Racers, simply contact us as soon as you need towing.

ASSESSMENT

We will assess the damage to your vehicle and expertly advise you on what needs to be done. We will provide you with a detailed quotation.

STEP 1

BOOK & CHECK IN

Happy with the quote and scope of work, book and check in your vehicle. We will conduct a full pre-work inspection.

STEP 2

DISASSEMBLY

Our auto body specialists will disassemble your vehicle. Existing parts that are still usable will be cleaned, wrapped and stored for later in the repair process.

STEP 3

ORDER PARTS

Our initial parts audit upon assessment may need to be revised upon disassembly and we will advise if this is the case, otherwise we proceed to oder at this point.

STEP 4

PANEL BEATING / MECHANICAL

This is the most crucial part of the process and must be done meticulously. Our expert team will ensure the highest quality work so that your vehicle is restored and safe to drive.

STEP 5

PAINT PREP

Once we've worked our magic on those panels, it's time to give them a fresh coat of paint. We start with a protective primer to ensure durability. Then, our team smoothes and sands the surfaces until they're perfect to ensure a flawless paint finish.

STEP 6

SPRAY PAINTING

Before we spray, we scientifically match the colour to your vehicle's original shade, even if it's faded. Then, we head to our paint booth for painting. We filter the air to keep it clean, remove particles, ensuring a flawless finish. After painting, we bake the panels at 60°C, to make that fresh paint stick for good.

STEP 7

ASSEMBLY

Existing, and new parts are fitted and your vehicle is reassembled. Panels are aligned and your vehicle is thoroughly checked for safety and compliance as well as workmanship.

STEP 8

POLISHING

Essential final step in the repair process. We polish your newly painted panels and existing panels to ensure that they are evenly matched. This process will leave you car looking as good as new.

STEP 9

FINAL INSPECTION & DELIVERY

Our quality control expert will give your vehicle a final inspection prior to arranging collection and handover of your vehicle to you.
